SHM Academy

The SHM Academy offers a dynamic suite of short courses and intensive programs in SHM and related fields. Designed for both specialists and newcomers, its curricula include blended and remote short courses delivered internationally (in Brazil, Belgium, the United States, etc.), a summer intensive program, and modules offering academic credits. The Academy’s programs emphasize practical, hands-on learning over concise time frames (e.g. 6–12 hours, blended intensives), facilitating both professional development and academic credit.

The concept of SHM: SHM is proposed for damage identification in infrastructure (e.g., bridges and dams) and road pavements, climate change adaptation, and more recently for risk-informed integrity management. Four main vectors have driven our research: system identification (e.g., dynamic field tests), machine learning, finite element modeling, and sensor node development. For more information.
